Description
Anza Borrego, in Southern California is one of the driest, most desert-like environments in the western US, However, if the winter rains and conditions are right, the spring here can come alive with wildflowers. There is a particular road through the town of Borrego Springs that parallels the Coyote Mountains where the wildflowers can be especially spectacular in March. Sunset light brings out deep colors in the verbena and gives depth to the Coyote Mountains.
